Abstract:
Social intelligence starts in school and falls upon the people, as regards the success. Success is determined by many factors, being predominant, however, the emotional intelligence or „social intelligence”, as it was published for the first time in the specialty literature, and less by academic intelligence. The study carried out by Brian Tracy, published in the paper entitled Changing your thinking, you change your life, aiming the top businessmen in America, revealed that most of these businessmen do not have an university degree, moreover, some of them have not even finished the high school, but they have something that not many people have: management of needs, high level to success – the paranoiac’s thinking in reverse or the law of attraction in the positive psychology – and what is most important to them is the fact that „the butterflies fly in group”; „the butterflies” representing the emotions; is also identified the poignancy of capacity to manage the emotions to success, a high level of the emotional intelligence; the emotional intelligence having a huge impact in getting success, since the academic intelligence is diminished at the age of 20 years, say the specialists (Sparrow, T., Knight, A. Apllied IE The importance of Attitude in Developing Emotional Intelligence. 2006), and the emotional intelligence is not fixed at birth, it benefits from ascension throughout the life, depending on personal experiences.

Having an important qualitative valence in child development, both in family and in school, and for social integration, this article shows the articulation method of a determinant intelligence in terms of personal success, and it is divided in two parts, the first part is theoretical: „1. Intelligence: academic, social, emotional”, aiming to define the concept of intelligence in its form: social, academic and emotional, and the second part, having a practical valence, reveals the school reality, as regards the emotional intelligence of our children, of the institutionalized children, as well as its level of development: „2.
