Abstract:
Risk mapping is the process of identifying territory with different levels of risk. As part of the process, the integration of manifestations of various types of dangers with the vulnerability of the assessed territory and the level of preparedness to manage the manifestations and consequences of the implementation of danger in this territory is carried out. Due to the current state and the need to respond to developments and new trends in technology, the software tool can be used for colorful visualization of risks. This is done on the basis of geoinformation system technologies. Geoinformation technologies support a number of analytical methods based on statistical and numerical analyses of spatial data. The results of the analyses can be presented on special maps (risk maps). Risk maps will make it possible to identify the composition and level of risk for each part of the assessed territory. The article points out the philosophy of software tools - desktop and web applications. The result of the desktop application will be a colorful risk map with attribute data representing all characteristics of the territory. The web application will present the results of the risk mapping online. Philosophically, the setting of software tools can be used in education in strategic decision-making in a scholarly subject at VŠB-TUO, Faculty of Safety Engineering. The inclusion of the described applications in education will offer students the opportunity to get acquainted with them and use these applications in practice. This will lead to a flexible response to current new trends used in practice and thus increase its ability to apply in the labor market in safety issues.
