Abstract:
This paper explores the instruments and practices that facilitate and encourage student mobility within international exchange programs.

Analyzing the data on the outgoing and incoming mobility of students, the paper highlights the trends and challenges faced by mobility programs. In addition, it discusses instruments that support mobility, including study programs, cooperation agreements and learning contracts, emphasizing the importance of flexibility in course selection and compliance with academic regulations.

The paper comments on the features of study programs that facilitate the recognition of student achievements from other higher education institutions, and the process of recognizing ECTS points and grades. It deals with key aspects such as compatibility of study programs, course selection strategies at foreign higher education institutions and mechanisms for recognizing ECTS credits.

The paper ends with recommendations for increasing flexibility and transparency in student mobility processes, which enables institutions to create a stimulating environment that encourages student participation in exchange programs without prolonging studies.
