Abstract:
The aim of this study of a qualitative and exploratory nature was to identify the impact of participation of the school community, in this case the families of students and outside partners, on the success of the management frame of reference adopted by the school under study, including how the management frame of reference adopted by the school contributes to the success of the school in regard to recovery of active participation of the community. The school that was the object of this case study was a public school in the Federal District which received the National Award for Excellence in School Management and which uses the shared management model. The methodology used was a review of literature, on-site study and the application of questionnaires. We concluded that the school-community relationship has a direct impact on improving the quality of teaching and student achievement.
