Abstract:

Curricula at higher education institutions are continuously improving, not only through the implementation of the latest professional knowledge and skills, but also through the introduction of entrepreneurial education. More and more ICT professional courses are also associated with the subject of entrepreneurship. In this way students can be prepared for more efficient work in a dynamic environment, they are also encouraged to develop and to implement innovations whose success is related to an optimal combination of not only their professional and technical knowledge, but also the economic aspect, since in each business model the application of advanced technical solutions is equally important as the possibility of achieving economic benefits. Entrepreneurial education can offer an individual the possibility of developing ability to timely identify market opportunities that can be seized by transforming an entrepreneurial idea into a successful entrepreneurial venture whose also contribute to the economic and social value of the community in which they operate. The results of the research presented in this article indicate that not only is there interest in entrepreneurship education of students at higher educations who are preparing for various occupations within the ICT industry, that students' interest in entrepreneurship education is further expressed in case when successful entrepreneurs actively participate in that teaching process. With their knowledge and experience, such entrepreneurs can motivate and encourage students to a completely new way of thinking in the approach how to solve the various challenges that might expect them without repeating their beginner's mistakes. Students' interest in entrepreneurship education is not significantly affected by their previous experiences gained by participating through some entrepreneurship courses in which they previously participated, because they are aware that such knowledge needs to be constantly renewed and improved. The importance of student’s participation in entrepreneurship education it is clearly visible through their plans for future business careers after graduation, which are significantly associated with different forms of entrepreneurship.
