Abstract:
Collaborative web applications, such as blogs, open-source software, and wikis, are all examples that allow a community of users to interact with each other to achieve a common goal.
Therefore, to encourage participation, most of these applications have little or no barriers to entry. So, anyone can be the source of the content. This diversity of sources puts the reliability of the content in danger. Indeed, the wiki model is the most advantageous to attackers.
As a result, the need to have a system that allows to associate wiki text with a reputation of its author, has become paramount. The algorithms developed are characterized by certain entries made by the previous contributors’ratings,to alert readers to the credibility degree of the wiki article.
The rating average of any wiki article is based on the previous ratings made by the contributors. In other words, each rating of a contributor will be used to deduct the credibility of an author of this content, taking into consideration of course, whether this rating is put for the first time on this article or this contributor already put it. The algorithms will be used in these two cases, and it will show immediately the average rating of this author and the average rating of the article. Then, the higher the average rating is, the more reliable the wiki articlewould be.
In short, these algorithms encourage readers to check the competence of the authors and the quality of its sources, or even to seek them to validate or invalidate the content online. Keywords:
