Abstract:
Integrating the international labor market has been one of the major concerns of today’s governments, universities and higher institutions. Indeed, with the availability of qualified personnel, job acquisition and opportunities have become highly competitive. The vast majority of employers seek to hire and promote effective communicators, critical thinkers, problem-solvers and self-directed individuals. Being aware of this global prerequisite, universities have adapted programs and modules that inculcate soft-skills in students in order to meet global jobs requirements. The purpose of conducting this research was to inquire upon students’ perceived experiences of integrating soft-skills in a Moroccan Higher Institute of Education and Training in Oujda and the impact it had on their future prospects. Data collection tool included a survey administered to over 100 students. Results depict increased motivation to develop soft-skills. It also outlined that through this course, students have developed myriads of skills including teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking and communication.
