Abstract:
The present project intends to present how the students acquire their professional values knowledge, through the application of the technique known as lexical availability, a methodology that allows the researchers to know the lexical and cognitive management of values. The results were employed to design a strategy to not only innovate on the process of professional values teaching, but also enhance the graduate’s profile. This paper pretends to present the current status of professional values employing lexical availability. The purpose is to use the results in order to design a strategy to innovate on the process of professional values teaching, enhancing the graduate’s profile, on a society that currently aims for ethical professionals. Higher education institutes must provide an academic training that in one hand guarantees that their graduated student are competitive on their study files, and in the other, acquired and developed the values and attitudes needed in their jobs. The assessment will be deployed on Software Engineering students, employing the Lexical Availability technique, which aims to present the availability and knowledge on values for the students.
