Abstract:
The paper aims to identify, analyse and reflect on the categories of critical, creative and caring thinking in philosophical literary stories based on environmental themes. The inspiration for writing this paper is the educational program Philosophy for Children. We consider Philosophy for Children as a form of applied philosophy focused on the area of practical human interests. This program is designed primarily to develop the independent thinking of participants in philosophical discussions.
The interpretation of the literary text represents the main method through which we deal with categories of critical, creative and caring thinking in philosophical literary stories. An additional method is the analysis of documents – individual books containing philosophical literary stories. Philosophical stories written for different ages are subject to the process of interpretation of a literary text. The analysis of philosophical literary stories shows that categories of critical, creative and caring thinking are present in the given stories. This specific type of text brings the reader model solutions to many problems of everyday life.
