Abstract:
As the world is still facing a COVID-19 pandemic, educators are trying to find new ways of teaching. The focus of didactics, as well as glotodidactics, is to find new ways of succesful teaching. The researchers in the field of glotodidactics try to understand the processes of teaching foreign languages, develop new learning theories, describe examples of good practice, identify factors affecting second language acquisition, find strategies for solving problems in foreign language learning or more effective ways of teaching. As teaching methods have been adapted to 21st century learners, the aim of this paper is to explore the impact of participation in online international projects on learners' motivation in second language acquistion. The research will be conducted through surveys and the sample will consist of secondary school students of all grades. The results will be analysed by descriptive statistics. This research could bring new insights in the field of glotodidactics and the topic is important globally as participation in international projects could be implemented in the European school curricula.
