Abstract:
Activities were carried out in a teacher training project, called Pedagogical Workshops for Teaching Instrumentation (OPID), involving 32 undergraduate students from a public university in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The objective was to investigate activities that favor a critical and creative pedagogical practice, both the practice of the teacher trainer and the participants who should, during the semester, carry out didactic activities in primary education schools, also developing workshops to teach contents for elementary school students is medium. 18 training workshops were held each semester, and in those moments logbook records were used, based on participant observation, analysis of the production of didactic materials, and written activities such as questionnaires and evaluations. The graduates carried out didactic workshops involving a total of 400 students of basic education and 20 teachers of student schools. The format adopted, of pedagogical workshops, already presupposes an active activity of the student, which was observed during the training moments and also when they taught workshops for students of basic education. The model also provided opportunities for discussions on the use of various didactic materials: slides, games, didactic models, laboratory materials and biological materials; to go beyond mere exposition of concepts or examples. It is analyzed that the workshops constituted a professional technical support for the pedagogical practice, capable of promoting a reflection on the action, because, when the trainer works with new knowledge and methodologies and discusses the forms of work from what was presented, it provides a process of analysis about teaching that is developed. The future teacher has little experience and repertoire as a teacher, so he needs a professional technical support, and has the opportunity to use different methodologies and didactic resources, in individual works or in groups, use accompanied by studies and reflection on the practice and for the teaching practice, involving them in analyzes on possible difficulties they have to develop a pedagogical work, so that they can experience experiences that are enriching for their own formation. Formative activities involving study and practice can contribute to the fact that, when they arrive at school, teachers do not feel very distant from their students, they reflect on the school environment and its characteristics, based on theoretical and practical knowledge. Keywords:
