Abstract:
Human violence, a phenomenon socially, psychologically, culturally and economically determined, is a topic that raises more and more interest in contemporary society. Seen from the social and psychological perspective violence is evident in all societies, though there are some cultural differences. No country and no community is susceptible to violence, it was everywhere: on the street, the family, workplace, mass media, schools, stadiums, etc.. Recent international concerns on violence in society have included the issue of violence at school, the school is part of the community. In recent years, nationally and internationally noted an alarming increase of the phenomenon, which caused a concern for the public, NGOs, local authorities, and, not least, for professionals in the education system directly involved in this phenomenon. Community involvement in developing strategies to prevent school violence is justified by the fact that school violence is a problem with the community the school is concerned, school violence as part of violence in society.
