Abstract:
“Education is the most powerful instrument that we have to create a better world “ (Dalai Lama)

In an age of globalization, the concept of University Social Responsibility, whose immediate predecessor is the concept of CSR, emerges strongly in universities both nationally and internationally, especially in the framework of the Millennium Campaign Against UN poverty and the fulfillment of the Millennium Development goals, signed by 189 UN member countries (2000).

If the Green Paper European Comision (2001) defined CSR as "the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders" and we could define the RSU as a voluntary integration of universities in social and environmental concerns, and commitment to improvement.
.
The University, as a social agent and as a generator and transmitter of knowledge can and should contribute to the achievement of compliance objectives that require commitment, determination and conviction, providing proposals and solutions through discussion, reflection, training, research, critical thinking and social action itself, contributing thus to the transformation of "human society".

Therefore, the main purpose of this presentation is to explain and to share with other universities those activities that we have implemented at our university referring to Social Responsibility during the past two years in the law degree.

The European University is a pioneer in educational innovation and the RSU has been one of its main pillars since 2000. The faculty members have received the same training and participated in projects and awards that integrate these values within the university, as well as in educational innovation conference in which teaching practices are published in this area.
