Abstract:
The idea was to implement blended learning approach in course for Clean Fossil and Alternative Fuels Energy student (CFAFE) students. It was based on challenge driven education and project based learning including oxford style debate and other active learning methods, like brainstorming, 5WHY. The challenge for students was to create a Energy DreaMap of the most interesting places in energy sector (companies, InnoEnergy startups etc.) and give an initial content - basic information and student’s motivation “why it is interesting?” and students opinions. The process started during this classes conducted using Oxford style debate on related topic (shaping of argumentation and discussion skills).

The next step the brainstorming how map could be create in most efficiently way was done (the discussion should include multidisciplinary approach).

The project creation of the Dream Map was conducting according to project based learning approach using project management rules (integration of project management skills in practice, leadership, presentation skills, team work). Next stage included student’s presentations, which should include reasons why this place could be the best place for the study visit.

Finally the map was created nut it has the open structure and and other members of Innoenergy community (other Innoenergy MSc programs etc.) are invited to cooperate in order to enrich its content. At the end of the project performance (the last part of the project), the feedback survey is done.

The project described in the manuscript emphasized the multidisciplinary approach and development of behavioral competencies and soft skills. Students during this project improved teamwork and improved their discussion, argumentation, presentation skills as well together with discussion of student's feedback.
