Abstract:
The paper describes the ten years experience in several European Thematic Networks grants. The focus of these projects was the educational activities in different computing programs at University level. Approximately seventy Universities from thirty European countries made their contribution to the formulation of professional standards, curricula, and syllabi in the computing education. The projects consortia developed the common curricula for bachelor, master, and PhD education in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, and information systems. The center of attention in the current project is the teaching, research and innovation in computing education. The identification, generation, storage, sharing, utilization, and evaluation of professional knowledge is described based on particular skill gathered in the projects.
