Abstract:
Since 1969, Libya’s sovereignty has been squandering & precious human and other resources, dismantled infrastructure, robbed people of dignity, has sent Libyans backwards by neglecting to educate them adequately. Libya is left behind in a ‘dark age’ and created a huge and still widening technological gap for the Libyans. Libya holds fourth place in the largest bilateral resource trade relationships in fossil fuels: exporting crude oil to the EU27 at a value of 28.8 ($ bn). Libya is also one of the producer countries placed in high rank in vulnerability to international commodity price fluctuations. It is increasingly being felt that present practice to simply continue with selling depleting petroleum and other unsustainable resources would perpetuate Libya’s technological colonization.
Paper is designed to demonstrate that how best practices like UNESCO blending learning program, learning from others, learning with others, learning by doing and learning while earning is a way forward for proud Libyan people to from a nation with a small population and wealth. It presents interesting case studies indicating how new education system focused in Libyan technological sectors such as low carbon fossil fuel E&P, solar energy, wind energy, integrated water resources management (IWRM), climate resilient sustainable development and water desalination projects, etc is not only capable to resolve issues of prosperity and equal opportunities but also be a nation to build and be leaders in technology &, energy matters. Keywords:
