Abstract:
The pedagogical framework for advanced industrial engineering is currently experiencing a profound reorientation, driven by the imperative for academic institutions to adapt to swift advancements across technological, economic, and societal domains. Prevailing paradigms underscore the assimilation of digital proficiencies—specifically data analytics, AI frameworks, and sophisticated simulation—as fundamental elements of modern curricula. This research utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining a comparative analysis of existing European engineering curricula with a longitudinal case study of a pilot "Inquiry-Driven" module implemented over four semesters. The study specifically evaluates the integration of Industry 4.0 laboratory environments with real-world industrial problem-solving tasks. Preliminary findings demonstrate that students participating in experiential learning models exhibited a 15% higher proficiency in transversal competencies, such as systems thinking and ecological stewardship, compared to traditional lecture-based cohorts. Furthermore, qualitative data from industrial partners indicate that graduates from the proposed framework require 30% less onboarding time regarding digital tool integration and collaborative project management. This paper proposes a Modular Hybrid Pedagogical Model that balances technical rigor with anthropocentric design. The results suggest that fostering industry-academic "co-creation" ecosystems is not merely beneficial but essential for closing the current skills gap. This framework provides a scalable roadmap for institutions aiming to cultivate agile professionals capable of navigating the dynamic exigencies of Industry 4.0 and beyond.Keywords:
