Abstract:
Technological progress influenced various types of aids that could be successfully used in education. Visualization is very important helping students and teachers in their activities, but this definition should not be related only to computer based visual artifacts. It is important to classify the visualization tools in various indicators that could be clear for future findings what kind of them could be more useful.

First indicator - dimensionality of visual representations in the science education is classified into different categories according to the visibility of the represented objects for the human eye. According to this – there are different visualization types classified by dimensionality. Second indicator – status of visual representation could be real and meta the latter would correspond to the supposed, agreed and treated as the objective, but usually invisible. Technological process encouraged scientists to represent own models by computerised aids therefore objects of micro-level by multimodal and multidimensional visualisations create the image of the real object, the mask of reality which allows perceiving as well as assimilating the content of representation. Representations of the meta status within the macro-level represent real objects and phenomenon only when due to some appropriate reasons objects are really unavailable. But the objects of this real status represent themselves– everything what is really seen and, upon some conditions, can be applied for the educational process. Pedagogues of the science education have been encouraging the learning outside for many years. Third indicator – visualisation on different levels may be transferred in various dimensionalities.

The aids are described in the paper that represent attributes of the expression of classical and post-modern paradigm within the educational reality, applied in subjects of the science education, dependably upon the need of the pedagogue and the material base of the school. The aids are classified according to three indicators of visualization – dimensionality, status and level. The majority of further described aids are identified as important and innovative not from the technical sense only, but also from the educational one.
