PERCEPTION AND EXPRESSION OF INTERCULTURALITY IN EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE FROM PEDAGOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

The aim of this paper is to find out perception and expression of interculturality in education practice.
There were identified scientific explanations of definitions of culture and interculturality, also there were analyzed the reasons of vicissitude culture in global world context and theoretical concepts of intercultural education. After content analysis of schools action plans there were found out how interculturality was highlighted in schools of Siauliai town (Lithuania) and how it was showed in year plans and in virtual space of institution. There were identified the expression of interculturality in education practice analyzing the content of schoolbooks. There were found out the meanings that were given to interculturality after interview with teachers.
The research confirmed the hypothesis that author had formulated – the perception of interculturality in schools was enclosed and understood as narrow explanation of definition and expression of intercultural education in practice, also, it was represented through different practice of different cultures.
