Abstract:
The importance of the variables of empowerment and organizational commitment is well known. In addition, its analysis from the perspective of small and medium enterprises is more important than in other areas.

Taking into consideration that the success in the organizations to maintain their permanence in the market depends not only on the owners, but also in a large extent on the participation and adequate integration of the employees, organizations are in need of developing human capital and maintain this investment within the organization. This will take advantage of the knowledge and intellectual capital of its members.

However, in order to this situation to manifest itself in organizations, it is necessary to have the participation of employees rather than the intention and wishes of the owners. For this reason, it is vitally important to integrate employees with a high organizational commitment.

In a classroom, we think that the most valuable resource are students. By empowering students, teachers could implement new technologies, improve learning and teaching methods, and have students more motivated. We analyze the possible application of this management concept in the teaching and learning world.
