Abstract:
School education can offer students general knowledge about the world as well as specialized knowledge in the case of vocational education. In addition to knowledge related to individual school subjects, the school is also intended to support the educational process and equip students with the necessary skills, competences and attitudes that will help students pursue further career paths or find their place in the modern world. Particular attention should be paid to what will help the student face the contemporary civilization challenges that people will undoubtedly have to face.

Therefore, the author, based on the available literature on the subject, will address an aspect that is sometimes unconscious, in common use and possessed as a resource by an individual - tacit knowledge.

This resource, although considered unconscious [1], enables the individual to function better in the perspective of decision making [2].

These issues are of particular importance not only in the educational sphere, but also in matters of professional cooperation [3]. Specific specialist knowledge alone to perform duties at a given job position may be insufficient.

Therefore, this work will, on the one hand, introduce the reader to a cursory acquaintance with tacit knowledge, and on the other hand, it will support the educational system, as well as a signal of the need to make certain changes or evolve commonly used education methods, which can help both their future works.
