Abstract:
To keep up with the evolution of new technologies, software development industry seeks to increase the quality of the development process in order to increase the quality of their products and become market leader. To reach that goal, companies and educational institutions are focused on training more qualified professionals. However, researches state that it is not only technical training that influences the developers' performance. The developer experience (DEX) can play a key role on the developer productivity, and consequently, in the development process. In this context, this research aims to identify and characterize the factors that influence the developer experience in the teaching and learning process. We also aim to analyze the impact of DEX on the performance of students in a mobile development course. This paper presents an experimental study conducted in a real context development project.
