Some schools and colleges in our contemporary educational global scenario have libraries filled with thousands of books on all areas of academic knowledge but students uninterested in bookish learning magnetized to rapidly transforming digital versions and applications which offer a more multifaceted ways of learning. On the other hand in developing countries or countries where there has been a deliberate scarcity of books in an attempt to restrict communication with the outer world there are universities with a shocking dearth of books. In both contrasting situations technological innovations such as Android phones and Tablets offer an interesting solution to the educators. Having taught in the latter condition, in the present paper a discussion of teaching English language and literature at undergraduate level in a dire absence of sufficient books with the help of phones and tablets is presented.
