This article describes the development of an android mobile app for neural network teaching at the mechatronics degree program in the UAC Autonoma del Caribe University (Barranquilla - Colombia). Advances in mobile phone hardware and development platforms have drastically increased the demand, interest, and potential of mobile applications, which have made more common in our society the use of smart phones to perform many different actions (activities). Young people manage very well these technologies, but often, the use of these devices in education institutes is very limited because it’s not understood as a learning method. Mobile learning is a new concept now well known in the scientific environment although it’s not popular, the latest trends are turning on the mobile collaborative learning, that’s way this paper addresses the m-learning to an audience usually away from this methodology, in order to help the students to have an easy and interactive way to access to the information of theirs artificial neural network course. The goal is not only to integrate new technologies in the classroom, but wanted to give a more efficient and innovative pedagogical approach.
