Abstract:
This communication refers to the experiences of the authors in preparing lessons to be performed in a computer lab. The subjects covered here are those of the area of applied mathematics, designed to train students in engineering. The approach being followed is based on specific criteria for the design of the script of each class, the use of appropriate software and teacher-student exchange via internet.
These experimental activities ought to complement the educational process carried out by conventional teaching, and further they must create abilities in handling computer tools.
The effectiveness of this educational approach has been measured by comparing the grade point average before and after the implementation.
