Abstract:
The University of Valencia has specialised musical training for physiotherapeutic intervention. This means that different educational innovation projects are carried out aimed at the greater adaptation of musical training in order to guarantee the greater adaptation of certain musical processes and tools to physiotherapeutic proposals. In this sense, the Educational Innovation Project "Vocal Technique in physiotherapy training: adaptations from the Music Therapy classroom of the Degree in Physiotherapy (UV-SFPIE_RMD17-587086)" involved the introduction of the future physiotherapist in the peculiarities of the Vocal Technique, from the consideration that this had much to contribute to the field of action of respiratory physiotherapy. The group of teachers participating in this experience was characterised by its interdisciplinary nature, with professionals from Physiotherapy and Music Pedagogy; and there was a group of 48 participating students. The students completed a questionnaire focused on the importance they considered that Vocal Technique could have, as well as an interview at the end of the experience. In the latter, the aim was to find out what positive and negative aspects they considered the training experience to have had. Regarding the questionnaire on the importance of training in Vocal Technique, it was only completed at the end of the experience because it was also intended to serve as a verification of the concepts learned. The results showed the importance given to this type of musical training experience and, above all, the need to go much deeper into the care of paediatric patients.
