Abstract:
The preparation of the staff involved in early childhood care to guarantee adequate early care requires a multidisciplinary perspective, especially in view of the fact that interdisciplinary interventions are carried out. From the University of Valencia and its call for Cooperation Projects, a project was approved to train families and specialists involved in early care, as a prior step to the provision and subsequent adaptation of the crèche classrooms in one of the most degraded areas of the country, the Iberia Community. Teachers and health personnel in El Salvador rarely have access to continuous training, let alone the families, who are unaware of the possibilities and implications of the typical schools for parents. The Project "Aulas-cuna en la Comunidad Iberia: preparación, organización y capacitación de profesionales de la enseñanza y familias para garantizar la atención y estimulación temprana de niñas y niños en riesgo de exclusión social" (20220189) was able to guarantee free continuous training for these groups, as well as for the families, carrying out all the work hand in hand with the EDYTRA Foundation, located in the Polígono Industrial Don Bosco de la Comunidad Iberia. The training sessions were structured in face-to-face and online sessions, both for families and for specialised staff (dentists, physiotherapists, nursery school teachers, psychomotor therapists), preparing special materials that respond to common working points that allow and/or facilitate interdisciplinary interaction. This project will be continued next year, this time focusing on the implementation of the spaces, after the completion of their adaptation. Keywords:
