Abstract:
The teaching staff of the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutic Technology Area of the Miguel Hernandez University has collaborated since four years ago with the Department of Pharmacokinetics of Las Villas University in Cuba.
The collaboration has been possible thanks to the support to the AECI - Spanish Agency for International Cooperation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (government of Spain). The aim of this agency is to contribute to economic growth and social, cultural, institutional and political progress in developing countries, especially those that have historical links with Spain; to promote, reinforce and develop a policy of cooperation with countries in this region, both individually and as a region to alleviate poverty and promote peace and stability and to ensure agreement on development policies in developed countries, especially within the European Union.
Our research team and teaching staff has organized annual scientific and educational courses in order to promote cultural co-operation and to design, coordinate and execute development co-operation programmes and projects in the educational, scientific and technical fields. Moreover, the cooperation programs and funds have allowed getting grants for undergraduate and Ph students to improve their training in research techniques and theorical knowledge.
But the cooperation programmes have been beneficial for both countries because the experience has allowed our teachers to live very enriching experiences. This work describes the kind of projects obtained, the activities developed and the result of the experience for the members of both countries
