Abstract:
In this paper we are going to inform about the progress in our research focusing on the use of mathematical platforms and students´ learning approaches in calculus classes. As a continuation of our recent paper published at INTED2014 we are presenting results of a questionnaire survey having been conducted in Canada, Portugal and the Czech Republic. The main point of the preceding paper was the cluster analysis of data having been collected among undergraduate students from Edmonton and Porto. At present, we will learn more about the results of the survey realized at the University of Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic. In addition to the presentation of factor analysis, sets of data from particular countries are going to be assessed from the perspective of statistical significance. Moreover, we are going to introduce our research focusing on the use of the various web platforms for the assessment of mathematical knowledge (such as Maple T.A., WebAssign, MuchLearning) and our experiences in the context of students' approaches to learning and studying. Keywords:
