Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic, which has completely changed the perception of education around the world, has brought with it many new things. Be it challenges, opportunities or problems, education at all levels has been marred by this pandemic. The process of switching to online teaching at universities, practically from day to day, has brought many problems for students, both from a technical point of view, as well as from an emotional, financial and physical point of view. The aim of the submitted paper is to evaluate what problems (technical, emotional and financial) students encountered during online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data was obtained by quantitative research using a questionnaire among respondents (n = 306). The data was collected in 2020 among full-time bachelor’s and master’s degree students at selected university in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire survey produced the following results, which are related to the emotional, physical and technical condition of the respondents. Finding a suitable place for online teaching when universities are closed at home was no problem for 55% of respondents. Mental, physical or emotional state was not a problem for only 44% of respondents during online teaching. Only 26% of respondents had no technical problems during online teaching (hardware, software).
