Abstract:
These days, educators and teachers across the globe are required to monitor individual student performance and to decide when and how to intervene before a student falls behind expected outcomes or becomes at risk of early school leaving. However, the assessment of individual student learning is difficult and time-consuming, and there is a need for improved monitoring of student performance information.

The Enterprise Learning and Instructional Support (ELIS) platform, developed by CingleVue International, is a brand new software solution that will make it possible to collect data about the wide range of student learning experiences. Drawing on applied research by a qualified research and development team, the evolution and development of the software are informed by evidence-based data and research analysis. Powered by data mining and innovative analytics, such as performance tracking, learning analytics, and social network analysis, the platform will facilitate the development and management of individual learning strategies for students.

The design of the platform is flexible to local contexts and overcomes many of the previous limitations. Individual Learning Plans, student progress and learning outcomes, collaborative learning, and evidence-based feedback, are just some of the activities that can now be documented and communicated between students, guardians, teachers, and administrators.

The software will equip teachers with technology to monitor student progress and to identify and assess students at risk of academic and school disengagement. This will not only support a more accurate targeting of students with the highest need, but also the implementation of evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies. It will further enable the seamless communication with peers and teachers by serving as a collaborative platform for providing feedback on progress and addressing challenges and concerns. Other benefits of the platform include the transparency of curricula for more informed lesson planning and a more accurate allocation of resources by tracking student interaction to help determine their effectiveness.

Although depending on the unique situation of each organisation implementing the software, the platform has the potential to transform education and to make a difference to the experience of students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
