Abstract:
The Business Process Management (BPM) is a new business methodology which aims to improve the performance of organizations. This software allows people to design the processes, modelling, organize, document and continuously optimizing business management without programming processes. In addition, can be compatible with other software that uses the enterprise as the ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning), being closely linked and automated the most important operations of the company. This paper presents a double objective: teach students using a BPM software with regard to its practical application in the management of business processes, adding value to the subjects which are taught, and in addition, as a novelty, implement new functionality of this software that has helped the students to develop their self-learning process. In short, with the same project we get two applications and different real benefits. One strictly limited to the field of business knowledge, which are part of subjects (Business Process Management), and other interdisciplinary, which served students in self-management of their learning process in any area (the self-learning process management). The design of the activity was done in two phases, in the first one we explain to students what is process management and outline how they can then apply the Aura Portal software, and a second, where students had to design their self-learning process and outline with the learned technique. Finally, through a questionnaire, especially what has been learned and its usefulness have collected impressions of students. Keywords:
