Abstract:
The work consisted of making a video about a laboratory session in food technology. This video shows step by step the implementation of the practice. During lab sessions, students can review videos which explain the practical work, using a notebook computer available for each practice group. Computers contain the video tutorial and all the material needed in order to complete the practice correctly. This methodology allows students to solve many problems without resorting to the teacher. In the case of having difficulty in understanding, students can rewind the video and thus better assimilate concepts. This allows teachers to deal just with real difficult questions, thus allowing them to manage with large groups of students, and to facilitate the previous explanation in class. Furthermore, students will be able to review the videos in their future careers. The main drawback is the need of a large number of computers and their cost.
