Abstract:
In recent years, significant changes in education have been driven by rapid digitization. Traditional, distance and hybrid educational models have been enriched using technology. There is a concern about quality and strategies to engage students in digital education. This article aims to share successful strategies implemented at a private university in Mexico for higher education, mainly in digital engineering courses. The implemented strategies were planned to enrich the students' experience. An analysis was conducted to compare the results of student opinion surveys (ECOA) for eight subjects in face-to-face and massively digital formats. The eight subjects under analysis share a similar design with the same problem situation for students to solve and a standardized assessment plan, so the main difference between both models where the strategies implemented to enrich the experience. The student opinion survey (ECOA) results were higher in 7 out of 8 courses analyzed, with favorable comments on distinctive experiences in a massively digital format. These findings highlight the importance of didactic strategies for adapting to massively digital format, technological resources, distinguished professors, student support models, and coordination among teaching teams as success factors positively impacting the student experience.
