Abstract:
Since the presentation of the Brundtland Report in 1987 on sustainable development, attempts have been made to implement new models of sustainable social awareness in our society. This new model in sustainability (Moore, 2005) together with the entry into force of the 2030 Agenda (UN, 2016), composed of 17 well-known Sustainable Development Goals, has entailed and modified the perspective in the decision making of social institutions for the fulfillment of these goals. Not only this, but also, it has meant an increase in pro-social initiatives in university educational policies that encourage the promotion and alignment of these goals in a more active way.

From the teaching innovation project PIME21-22/251, which has the support of the Institute of Education Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), the bases have been generated to work these values in audiovisual format, within the educational field of several degrees related to communication and audiovisual content. To this end, the teaching innovation project has been structured in three clearly differentiated phases: a first phase based on student training, a second phase focused on the creation of narratives in short film format and a third phase of dissemination and transmission of knowledge through digital platforms.

Through the use of quantitative methodologies (two surveys, one prior to the training workshop on the SDGs and the other after the creation of the audiovisual work) and qualitative methodologies (monitoring of the different groups in the creation process in the classroom). With all this, we can say that we have obtained a model of analysis of the knowledge about the SDGs of the students participating in the project.

Through this communication, from the 353 surveys carried out, we intend to show the most significant monitored data and the criteria acquired on the objectives of the Agenda 2030 of the subjects related to the audiovisual of the pre-selected degrees. To analyze the assessments, perceptions and arguments absorbed during the creation process of the different short films by the teaching staff and researchers from the participant observation of the researchers towards the different students. As well as, the conclusions acquired from the process and the new proposals exposed for the improvement of the project and to be able to foresee the different degrees of knowledge about the SDGs in the educational community subtracted from the surveys of the study.

Although the results give us indications of the lack of in-depth knowledge of the different goals on the part of the students, we believe that the perspective of the issues and values promoted by the SDGs has been favored by the progressive awareness of the participating students. This study will remain as a repository in which different pedagogical, theoretical and methodological materials will be included, which can serve as an important teaching support for the implementation of educational actions and activities, as well as a tool open to universities around the world, with which to collaborate, create and disseminate the Sustainable Development Goals through the audiovisual creation of new prosocial audiovisual narratives (NAP).
