Abstract:
Since 1999 Kosovo has gone through many changes in its educational system and learning models.
In contrary to the old way of teaching, the contemporary system is showing to be a more suitable and more effective in the quality of teaching and learning.
This way of learning has brought closer the possibility of involvement in teaching activities for every child regardless of the level of their education.
Our research has to do with comparison of the traditional model/methodology which was applied in our country prior to the 1999 and the contemporary which is still being used.
Also we have investigated the reasons of success that are directly related with the teaching and learning models use by teachers in our schools.
The Outcome results of the research have shown also the difficulties that teachers old in age have with application of the new models of children’s work.
Even though they may have finished different training and participated many workshops with the purpose of capacity development and the increasing of the quality of teaching, it still continues the use of the old traditional model.
The challenge we have faced as we did this research was the position of children when facing this situation with old fashioned teachers and their attitude for the new teaching concepts in general. There are plenty of cases like this in our country therefore research on the topics like this really influences of the problem and helps its removal.
