Abstract:
The article is devoted to theoretical justification and development of the methodology for organizing educational project activities on the example of the "Wiki Dictionary" project and assessing its effectiveness. There are listed methodological advantages and possible difficulties of using the wiki technology for compiling a joint glossary. The algorithm has been developed and tested for organizing educational project activities among students within blended learning based on wiki technology, which is a system of interactions between a teacher and students in the information and educational environment of a wiki site with interactive problem-oriented group tasks. The authors have concluded that the organization of educational project activities of students on creating a joint glossary has great advantages and can be successfully integrated into the process of teaching a foreign language to students of a linguistic university with proper consideration of possible difficulties, as it helps to expand the vocabulary of students in the language of the specific area. The introduction of wiki technology into the educational process contributes to the optimization of project activities, its timely control, and evaluation at the micro and macro levels. The approbation of the "Wiki Dictionary" project showed the positive impact of the wiki technology on planning and organizational skills of students’ independent and joint activities, the quality of completed project tasks.Keywords:
