Abstract:
The Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Technical University in Košice (Slovakia) provides education in accredited programs at the 3rd level of university study. Under lockdown, it was necessary to replace full-time education with distance education. New digital technologies have been implemented in classroom facilities, which enable combined education. Teaching takes place in person in the classroom and students who are in quarantine can attend the course online. The digital background of classrooms adapted to combined teaching can also be used for the education of construction workers. Accredited lifelong learning courses are designed for construction practice workers. After completing the course, participants from practice evaluate the quality of education provided through a questionnaire. The paper presents findings from the organization of the course of lifelong learning under lockdown. The technical and organizational provision of the course and the results of the evaluation of the quality of education in the distance form from the point of view of the graduates of the lifelong learning course are presented.
