Abstract:
According to ECTS teaching-learning approaches, the teacher should schedule the work each student has to do, both inside and outside the classroom. Furthermore, the teacher should evaluate the work his students have done as soon as possible in order to give them proper feedback.
This goal could be achieved by writing a set of documents, often called deliverables, which show the students the activities to be done and their delivery dates. Once each deliverable is done, the teacher evaluates them and returns the corrected deliverable to the students.
The problem with this method is that the management and evaluation of the deliverables is a big time-consuming process. Especially when the number of students per group is high.
This paper presents a computer application that reduces significantly the time that the teacher spends in managing the deliverables. This allows the method to be effectively used even if big groups are considered.
An evaluation method which takes into account the percentage of the deliverables done by each student is also presented.
Both the application and the evaluation method have already been tested in various courses with satisfactory results. Keywords:
