Abstract:
Many aspects of life are facilitated by information and communication technologies, and education is no exception. E-learning technologies are constantly coming up with new possibilities and tools enabling full-fledged study. Development of these new ways of education is closely linked to development of information and communication technologies. Application of modern data and information technologies to the teaching process is becoming a necessity, not only due to a sharp increase in knowledge in individual disciplines in the field of mechanical engineering, but also due to increased quality of the educational process and popularization of traditional manufacturing engineering technologies. For this reason, we implemented a software training tool at our workplace supporting development of creative knowledge in the field of technological preparation of production, in the design of production documentation, in conjunction with other creative activities carried out before a product is manufactured (planning of orders, product inspection, generation of workshop documentation, computer simulations). Application of such educational tool seems beneficial due to topicality of development of technical sciences and engineering practice. Typical of a modern society is informatization in all areas of its activities. In the field of industrial production, we witness how principles of INDUSTRY 4 play out, processing a huge amount of information important for achieving faster and more correct decisions. The interactive educational software tool, which is the result of a project addressing the application of new tools in teaching, represents a suitable tool enabling full-time and part-time students majoring in Production Technologies and Production Engineering to understand and manage parallel - concurrent engineering.
