IMPLEMENTATION OF VIRTUAL LEARNING MODE IN DISTANCE EDUCATION: AN EXPERIENCE

Abstract:
The paper presents an experience conducted by professors from the Universidad Industrial de Santander through the Institute of Regional Projection and Distance Education. Preliminary aspects of this experience was presented at Edulearn10 (http://library.iated.org/view/BARBOSA2010ACT). This new advance contains the most relevant aspects of the analysis of this experience as part of innova-CESAL Project (http://www.innovacesal.org/innova_public/).

In this text are presented the results of the first year of the implementation of virtual mode. That includes the work during two academic periods, 8 courses, 15 workers in the base team, 12 teachers and over 190 students.

This experience is based on the logic of virtualization in which is established a life cycle of the learning scripts. This framework guides the production of courses (administrative viewpoint) and the colective construction of knowledge (pedagogical viewpoint).

The systematization of experiences provides the conceptual and methodological framework for the registration and assessment of the events that are generated in the experience.

Metodological aspects and some of the main hypothesis derived of the work are presented and analyzed.
