Abstract:
For designing an educational game are taken into account many elements that involve learning, such as: technical aspects, administration part, graphics, scripts, sounds, animations, pedagogical aspects, content and educational objectives, events that trigger reactions from the user. The pedagogical component associated to games is essential in the game mechanics, making the transition from the game activity, fun (which is dominant) to the training, guidance, development of various skills (depending on the purpose and theme of the game), stimulating imagination, forming moral traits, personality, development of various mental abilities, social experience and practical skills. In this article we start from the study of a massively multiplayer online game from a player's perspective in order to identify the pedagogical key elements that motivate user and using them in designing serious games.
