Abstract:
In this paper, we intend to present a tutoring innovative experience based on a peculiar study method and on several relations and connections among tutors, students, caregivers, and teachers. The Teen Trainer experience is an enriched approach that embraces many aspects. The article will show how the tutoring experience is based not only on homework and on marks.

Tutors are educated to empower self-esteem, supporting positive behavior and working on motivation and self-efficacy. To reach these aims, each tutor attends an intern advanced training in order to achieve didactic, pedagogical and psychological skills; that is, tutors are trained by psychologists and pedagogists that periodically supervise them too.

Teen Trainer builds an important network to involve teachers, families and educational figures.

Teen Trainer is also a space where students can meet each other: students can count on a place called “home student” where they can study together, share experiences and attend after school activities.

From a pedagogical point of view, Teen Trainer innovative approach allows an interesting experience in which the student becomes protagonist of his success.
