Abstract:
The changing of the socio-economic environment, structural changes in the labor market, and the content of professional activities in the context of digitalization and the economy present new requirements for personnel. The increase of the retirement age in the Russian Federation has led to an increase in the structure of older people who are forced to adapt to changing professional requirements or switch to less skilled labor. This necessitates the adoption of measures for the professional resocialisation of the elderly, including those related to mastering the competencies of the digital economy. The purpose of the article is to consider the features of the organization of training and retraining of elderly people as part of their professional re-socialization in the digital economy.
Research Methods:
The methodology was based on the theory of the digital economy, the theory of socialisation, the theory of professional development, the competency-based approach, the theory of “net” education, and the concept of lifelong education . The empirical part of the article is the result of research methods for analysing statistics, sample survey , analysis, and secondary data.
Conclusions:
The number of elderly people in the Russian Federation is increasing every year, however, the willingness of this category of workers to work in the digital economy is very low. The government in the Russian Federation has formed special conditions for training and adaptation to work for elderly people in the new conditions create. Taken measures have a certain effect, but need to be expanded and adjusted (small coverage, poor feedback, the reluctance of employers to hire older people, etc.).
The significance of the study. Studying the regional characteristics of the education and retraining of older people as part of their professional resocialisation opens up opportunities for government and business to optimally use this category of labor in the digital economy. In the academic environment, the factors of resocialisation of the elderly can be additionally studied in the mutual influence on the well-being of the elderly and the state of the labor market. Keywords:
