Abstract:
In recent years, there have been many problems that negatively affect the quality of training, retraining and advanced training of managers and specialists, personnel of mass professions, in general, the staffing of the agroindustrial complex. With the purpose of innovative development of food and processing industry in the agroindustrial complex, it is necessary to create a multilevel system of training and retraining of personnel on the basis of integrating the scientific and educational potential of universities and research institutions. The most important direction of improving the system of higher professional education, including agrarian education, is the implementation of a competence approach to learning. Recently, there has been a clear trend towards a transition from a qualification model to a competency model. Summarizing the main approaches to the concept of ‘professional competence’, we singled out the following criteria for diagnosis: knowledge of the content, forms and methods of working with the student audience, the ability to organize interaction with a group of students, the teacher’s ability to self-development. In accordance with these criteria in the study, the methodology of the diagnostic map of the professional competence of the teacher was used. Theoretical, methodological and analytical materials that contribute to the formation of the profile of the teacher's professional competencies in the supplementary professional program are analyzed through 1) the content analysis, allowing not only to assess the professional discourse, but also to form a set of key professional competencies that are most in demand on the labor market, 2) the empirical analysis to obtain the set of professional competences, compared with known theoretical models and supplemented by competences that for one reason or another did not fall into the initial list. The reliance on these core professional competencies, selected on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research, allowed us to proceed with the development of an incentive material for the methodology. The competence of the teacher in the sphere of self-employment, the development of small business and information literacy in the food and processing industry of the agroindustrial complex are scientifically substantiated and developed, taking into account the industry specifics of food enterprises and personnel preferences of employers. Taking into account the fact that the teachers during the research gave socially desirable answers, the method of paired comparisons was applied as well. Thus, the forced choice procedure was implemented from two statements only (which refer to different competencies). As an incentive material, statements from the list of characteristics of different competencies were used. The empirical data obtained as a result of the survey are subjected to a comparative analysis with the available reference profiles of specialties of the university. In the end result, each teacher gets own competency profile, presented as a diagram. The relative intensity of certain competences allows you to give recommendations on choosing a further professional path, as well as to build a career development plan for the teaching staff member. A cross-cutting study of competencies based on advanced psychotechnologies would allow educational institutions to monitor professional competencies, which would maximize the potential of specialists in the workplace. Keywords:
