Abstract:
At the beginning of 2020, the new crown pneumonia epidemic broke out on a large scale around the world, causing most schools around the world to be unable to open normally, which has brought an unprecedented impact on teaching. In order to minimize the impact of the epidemic on teaching work, the Ministry of Education has put forward a request for “suspension of classes and non-stop learning”. Schools have joined the ranks of online teaching and tried new teaching methods. The shift of teaching work from online to offline has brought new challenges to schools, teachers, parents, and students.

Affected by the prevention and control of the epidemic, the term “online teaching” has become popular. Unlike traditional methods of face-to-face teaching between teachers and students, online teaching is a new type of teaching method based on the Internet, computers or mobile devices as hardware environments, with the help of professional online teaching platforms or mobile apps to teach and answer questions in classes. According to whether the teacher's teaching is recorded in advance, it can be divided into two forms: “recorded and broadcast class + online Q&A” and “Live class + online Q&A”.

In such a special period, online teaching can indeed ensure that students “suspension of classes and non-stop learning", so that students can not only watch the teaching videos repeatedly unlimited times, so as to thoroughly clarify the knowledge points, extremely targeted, and can formulate teaching plans according to their own learning needs, and use the rich resources on the Internet to integrate knowledge and strengthen memory.

Internet teaching has indeed solved some of the problems of class resumption, but there are also areas that need to be improved. For example, the equipment of teaching hardware, the assurance of teaching quality, the acceptance of teaching effectiveness, and so on.

Therefore, online teaching requires not only the technical support of teaching software companies, but also the active cooperation of educational institutions and schools; educators must enlarge the pattern, stand from the standpoint of students, and fully and correctly understand the strategic deployment of “suspension of classes and non-stop learning” from the perspective of promoting the overall healthy physical and mental development of students. Parents and students should be actively guided in their lives and studies, and regard the ongoing war of national mobilization to fight the epidemic without smoke as a living textbook to help students actively participate in life, face life optimistically, and think about life seriously; let students understand a little responsibility, learn a scientific spirit, and have some leisure skills. This should be the true meaning of “suspension of classes and non-stop learning”.

The article will discuss how to improve the quality of online teaching and maximize the effect of online teaching through the analysis and thinking of online teaching in the form of literature research, questionnaires, etc.
