Abstract:
With the Bolognia process people graduated with a bachelor degree have the free choice to move to a master study course of a suitable topic. In this situation some problems could occur especially in the case of a change of the universities or higher education institutes. Provided that there are no language problems with a move to a foreign country we observed:
i) serious deficits of the supposed level for a master study, and
ii) incompatibilities of the bachelor qualification and the wanted master study course.
The named problems occur in Germany especially if bachelors graduated from special higher education institutes, the so called ''Fachhochschulen'', move to universities. Both the students and the universities are forced to provision for these problems to avoid long term studies. On the one hand the information base with meaningful module descriptions must be increased but on the other hand online offers to bridge the level gaps are necessary.
In the presentation some suggestions to overcome the discussed difficulties will be considered. Keywords:
