Abstract:
I would like to approach the period of vocational training in Hungary between 2010 and 2020 from two aspects: to review all the main legal changes that have given the system, structure and scope of vocational training, and to give an idea of what these effects of VET (Vocational Education and Training) training opportunities.

In the period between 2010 and 2020, Hungarian vocational training changed fundamentally, which can be perceived not only along the laws, laws and regulations, but also in its impact on the vocational training system as a whole. The strong shift, structural transformation and management of vocational education and training towards the economy and the labor market is reflected in the institutional system and organizations of vocational education and training, in the strengthening of the dual nature of vocational education and training, and in the transformation of professions. These frameworks have induced and triggered strong changes in funding, but even more so in content (in view of the recent legal changes) in Hungarian vocational education.

In addition, the impact of the VET system on students is significant, not only in terms of changes in the number of people (VET entrants, VET students), but also in terms of social problems, such as changes in demographics, the development of the number of professional teachers (their shortage, aging), the decrease in the prestige of professions or even the appreciation of the accepted role of other career paths in society instead of professional training.

Overall, it can be seen that Hungarian vocational training is facing new challenges, and it needs to provide quick and efficient answers in order to be operational in the long run and to serve the needs of the economy, as described in Vocational Training 4.0. strategy states: "One of the keys to the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy is the training of quality professionals."
