Abstract:
Within the open innovation framework, universities are considered to be among the industry's most important partners for collaboration. However, from the existing literature on Industry-University relations, the research of Industry-University cooperation in an open innovation context is still relatively scarce. Considering the current state presented in the literature, the aim of this study is to address the main dimensions of the open innovation between industry and university within a Romanian environment.
For this purpose, a survey was carried out to identify the components of the five major dimensions of Industry-University collaboration in open innovation within a Romanian environment. The items of the five dimensions of open innovation between industry and university have been adapted from existing literature and specific knowledge maps of the five dimensions have been developed. The importance of each item of these dimensions was ranked using the mean of participants’ responses to the survey. The differences between the means of the items of each open innovation dimension were established by the one-way ANOVA. In addition, the Tukey HSD post-hoc test was employed to identify if the differences of the means of the analyzed items of each dimension are statistically significant. Keywords:
