Abstract:
Secondary Students should, at the end of their education have acquired the basic competences, which will be developed in higher education. These basic competences are not independent among them, but are intertwined and they complement each other. The development of one of them involves the development of the others as well. One of these basic competences is the one referred to the treatment of information and digital competence. The relevance of Information and Comunication Tegnologies in education is analysed in PISA examinations in 2009. These examinations include an activity trying to measure the cognitive competences necessary for an effective use of technology. But, do students really know how to use information: search, analyze, select it according to specific criteria, reconstruct it, etc through technology? Do they only manage technology?
There are a lot of interactive tools to develop digital competence. Webquests are one of those tools. These kind of activities use a cooperative methodology as well. It is fundamental each member’s contribution in order to solve the posed issue, as each one has one item of the information necessary for learning
